Description Franz Trischberger 2013-03-27 10:47:58 UTC
kwin-4.10.1 contains a workaround for IvyBridge, but SandyBridge suffers from this, too.

Where do you get the information that SandyBridge is also affected? I can't find it...

Anyway, not a regression, so no stable blocker.
Comment 3 Franz Trischberger 2013-03-29 07:35:09 UTC
I get that information from my eyes ;)
I have a SandyBridge CPU (i7 2600K with HD3000) and present windows is hardly usable:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=317427
Also affected are several Task Switchers like Grid, Present Windows Clone or also the (IMHO default) Thumbnails.

SandyBridge is mentioned in the upstream bug
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61554#c13
Comment 5 Michael Palimaka (kensington) gentoo-dev 2013-04-02 10:38:54 UTC
KDE upstream indicated that they are not interested in restricting SandyBridge, but say that the underlying issue has been fixed by mesa upstream.
Comment 6 Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn gentoo-dev 2013-05-02 17:02:41 UTC
fixed in mesa-9.1.2
