Recently GVFS integrated MTP support in one of its latest ebuilds.
I was wondering if someone could take care of creating an ebuild and integrating it into portage, it would be greatly appreciated.

Fixed yesterday by nirbheek.

Please don't submit bug reports for the overlay, we are working on updating everything for gnome 3.8 and things will come in time.

Filing bug reports for everything is just going to take us some precious time taking care of them instead of bumps.
