Hi!

Here's an ebuild for encspot -- a command-line utility that guesses which encoder was used to create MP3 files. It will also display other useful information, such as a histogram of bitrate distributions of VBR MP3s and the contents of the LAME header (if present).

EncSpot was originally coded by a software company named GuerillaSoft, which seems to be defunct now. They released the command line version of EncSpot under a New BSD license. Francis Russell modified it to build on Linux, and also created a man page for it.

I suggest adding this as media-sound/encspot. The build depends on cmake, but cmake is, as it seems, only used for generating a classic Makefile.

Cheers,
Vrza
