I installed games-arcade/dynamitejack-1.0.23 with no problems, and it loads and runs fine, but I get no sound. Haven't had any luck trying to troubleshoot the cause. It seems this is a fairly comment problem on 64-bit systems, with two alternative suggestions to fix: http://steamcommunity.com/app/221410/discussions/1/846938350734653709/ http://steamcommunity.com/app/202730/discussions/0/864956554752814594/ The first isn't really applicable to Linux as I'm limited to whatever the emul-linux-x86-soundlibs package provides, and in this case it *does* seem to already provide the ALSA plugins, or at least some subset of them. The second, unfortunately, didn't help either. But, the last step, involving editing /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf.d/51-pulseaudio-probe.conf, didn't match up for me - I have nothing under that alsa.conf.d directory except for a README that, sadly, wasn't all that helpful. I'm stuck at this point. Any ideas? emerge --info pasted below. can't reproduce
do you have pulse audio installed? I think that may play a part. Otherwise, what can I do to help troubleshoot? I haven't had any luck with the standard basic troubleshooting I do (checking dependencies, checking strace output for any obvious failures, etc.), and I'm not really familiar with the more thorough debugging utilities like gdb.

ok, so again, what can I do to help troubleshoot?
maybe it's even a card thing, because of that sick libIrrKlang.so lib maybe run: LD_DEBUG="libs" dynamitejack
ebuild was completely redone and now uses native libs (also pulseaudio), this is probably obsolete now then
