I had today again two X11 crashes at the same system. Until some days ago gnome3 was only working in fallback modus. Now maybe since the upgrade to xf86-video-nouveau-1.0.6 it is working in the default mode, but it is really unstable.
I think acceleration on GF119 is still considered very experimental. Probably it is a good idea if you report this upstream at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/ and provide the link here.
