Try to compile x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel-2.20.2 Actual Results: Compilation fails with above mentionend error messages Expected Results: Compilation should succeed I am using profile "default/linux/amd64/13.0", and this version of xf86-video-intel is the only one in the portage tree. You are mixing stable and unstable parts of xorg. We do not support this combination. (Though we may update dependencies to make this more explicit) Either downgrade your xorg-server to stable or upgrade your xf86-video-intel to unstable versions.

I don't understand what you mean with "the only one in the portage tree"? # eshowkw xf86-video-intel Keywords for x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel: | | u | | a a p s | n | | l m h i m m p s p | u s | r | p d a p a 6 i p c 3 a x | s l | e | h 6 r p 6 8 p p 6 9 s r 8 | e o | p | a 4 m a 4 k s c 4 0 h c 6 | d t | o --------------+---------------------------+-----+------- 2.9.1 | o o o o o o o o o o o o o | o 0 | gentoo 2.19.0 | o + o o o o o o o o o o + | # | gentoo 2.20.2 | o ~ o o o o o o o o o o ~ | # | gentoo [I]2.20.13 | o + o o o o o o o o o o + | o | gentoo 2.20.19-r1 | o ~ o o o o o o o o o o ~ | # | gentoo 2.21.0 | o ~ o o o o o o o o o o ~ | # | gentoo 2.21.2 | o ~ o o o o o o o o o o ~ | # | gentoo 2.21.3 | o ~ o o o o o o o o o o ~ | o | gentoo Anyway the dependencies are fixed now.
Not good, see https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430000#c16
(In reply to comment #6) > Not good, see https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430000#c16 I knew this was going to happen. This is precisely the sort of issues we warned about in bug #439420. Keeping this old ebuild was already against our policy but did not cost us much. I have no intention of doing any sort of work on the driver itself to make it build with more recent Xorg servers. The server's API have changed quite a lot these past few months and I don't have the knowledge nor time to fix this. I'm sorry but we can't fix this driver. Thanks
