The current version in tree has a big disadvantage: It uses the full panel width in deskbar and multi-row modes, thus stealing a lot of space. I decided to write a small patch so it uses only the same size as a launcher icon, in other words: A single panel row.

In case anyone finds it useful, I'll attach it to this bug report. It patches the vala generated c code directly, so can be applied to the existing package relatively easily.

Please understand that we as a distribution only accept bug fixes. New features should definitely be proposed upstream.
