The background as the wrong color and mouse clicks on the desktop to not behave as they should. (The have no effect.) Version 4.10.0 works fine.

Looks like a fix is on the way (4.10.2).

Please try 4.10.2. It got fixes for the background but I'm not 100% sure if this is same.

cp xfdesktop-4.10.1.ebuild xfdesktop-4.10.2.ebuild works, but you can also wait 1-2 hours and sync, it will be in tree
Comment 4 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-03-13 22:27:19 UTC
This should be fixed. Reopen if not.
Comment 5 José Romildo Malaquias 2013-03-24 10:32:32 UTC
This is still not fixed for me with xfce-base/xfdesktop-4.10.2.
Comment 6 Fred Krogh 2013-03-24 13:58:16 UTC
This has been working for me since installing 4.10.2. I thought I'd posted this on 2013-03-14 or so.

Can you try with a new user? Like with empty ~/.cache ~/.local and ~/.config directories?

Make sure every instance of xfdesktop, well, Xfce, is closed too

As the original reporter reports this working and the upstream commit reads this is fixed too, so I'm suspicious about you having same problem...
Comment 8 José Romildo Malaquias 2013-03-24 16:30:54 UTC
It works with a new user.

After removing ~/.cache/* it works with normal user.
