Both ebuilds install the same package.  Net-Server installs a newer version (2.007 vs 2.006).

The older one accepts and ipv6 USE flag and has different dependencies and wider keywording.

There's no dev-perl/Net-Server in gentoo-x86 ...

There was when I reported it.

Check the cvs history, someone must have fixed it in the interim.
