Description fatty 2004-03-25 03:26:05 UTC
As I've installed gtk+-2.4.0 several days ago, I wondered why emerge -uDp world suggested to downgrade to gtk+ version 2.2.4-r1 again.

Today I've installed the German language-pack for my mozilla-firefox-browser.
While as root everything worked fine, on userside the browser didn't want to start any more.

So I decided to edit the ebuild to instead use the German tarball and found "gtk+-2.2*" as dependancy.
After changing it to "gtk+-2.4*" emerge ran without any errors and firefox does work fine again for every single user :)

I suggest to check the dependancies of the net-www/mozilla-firefox-bin-0.8.ebuild. Maybe set it to any value bigger than gtk+-2.2?

mmm this ebuild make noise...
i upgraded the gtk to 2.4.0, and then it requires to be downgraded to 2.2.4, in loop !

please change the dependancy to >=gtk+-2.2*

very thanks
