Description Robert Brinson 2004-03-24 19:48:30 UTC
I emerged all of kde 3.2.1 with the emerge kde command. I believe everything compiled cleanly as the emerge process never stopped, and I did not get any errors after the emerge process. I have not had any problems with other parts of KDE. I wanted to use KWiFiManager to hold four wireless network configurations for my laptop. I used the embedded component in the KDE Control Center and added the four configurations and made sure to push the Apply button when done. However, when I return to the KWiFiManager application, those settings are no longer there. There are no settings there. I have tried logging into KDE as root and inputting the settings into KWiFiManager, but they still do not stay.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open up KWiFiManager either as root in the standalone application or in Administrative Mode in the KDE Control Center.
2. Enter network configurations for up to four wireless networks and press the Apply button.
3. Close KWiFiManager.
4. Return to KWiFiManager and observe that the settings are gone.

Actual Results:
The configurations for the four wireless networks are no longer there.

Expected Results:
KWiFiManager should repopulate with the four wireless configurations to allow me
to connect to the one of my choosing.
