gentoo-sources-2.4.25 apparently removed netfilter functionality compared to 2.4.20-r7 Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. upgraded gentoo-sources from 2.4.20-r7 to 2.4.25 2. configured and installed the new kernel 3. tried to continue using my formally working iptables setup Actual Results: the CONNMARK and TARPIT netfilter targets have been removed (I guess this applies to other netfilter patch-o-matic patches as well, these are the ones I'm using) Expected Results: A non-major kernel upgrade should not have removed patches that were previously included Portage 2.0.50-r1 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.3.2, glibc-2.3.2-r9, 2.4.25-gentoo) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.25-gentoo i686 Pentium II (Klamath) Gentoo Base System version 1.4.3.13 Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.58-r1 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.7.7 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=pentium2 -O3" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share /config /var/bind /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=pentium2 -O3" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs ccache sandbox userpriv" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.tu-clausthal.de/pub/linux/gentoo/ ftp://sunsite.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/pub/Linux/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="acl apm avi berkdb crypt encode firebird foomaticdb gd gdbm gif gtk2 imlib ipv6 jpeg libg++ libwww mad maildir mikmod motif mpeg mysql ncurses nls oggvorbis opengl pam pdflib perl png python quicktime readline sasl sdl slang snmp spell sse ssl svga tcpd truetype x86 xml2 xmms xv zlib"
