After upgrading from gnome-3.4.2 to gnome-3.6.3, Totem stop working with samba playback resources.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use nautilus to connect to a samba resources.
2. Double click (use totem by default) to play a video.
3. Error occurs.
Actual Results:  
Totem shown and error occurs.

Expected Results:  
Totem shown and play video normally, as totem-3.4 version.

1. console messages:
** Message: Missing plugin: gstreamer|1.0|totem|SMB protocol source|urisource-smb (SMB protocol source)
** Message: Automatic missing codec installation not supported (helper script missing)

2. The gst-plugins-gio is removed automatically after upgrading. It seems the bridge for samba resources with gnome-3.4. However, in gnome-3.6 (gst-1.0), there is no gst-plugins-gio-1.0 version in x86 portage trees.

Not all gstreamer plugins are available in gst:1.0 either because they have not been ported or because they were moved to to their core package.

gio was moved back under gst-plugins-base ebuild and should always be built.

Could you run gst-inspect-1.0 gio and paste the result here ?

Issue solved. Steps:

$ rm -rf ~/.cache/gstreamer*
$ gst-inspect-1.0

Then things work fine.
