Source is available from here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/k3b/k3b-0.11.7.tar.bz2 From the k3b website: Just another bugfix release to make K3b 0.11 more stable. These are the changes: * Check size of returned CD-TEXT data to be a multiple of the pack length. This should fix problems with CD copy. * Audio Project: Do not overwrite CD-Text values loaded from the project file with the ones detected. * Added --copydvd command line parameter. * Do only read MCN and ISRCs when copying an audio CD since scanning them takes a very long time (especially Audio ripping). * Fixed cdrdao 1.1.8 version handling (no ATAPI warnings anymore). * Fixed crash when using the Audiometadatarenamer on Movix Projects. * Automatically enable UDF extensions in case the project contains files bigger then 2 gb. * Fixed compile problems with Linux 2.6.x headers. Be aware that this fix is not more than a little hack of the KDE build system which I ONLY did to this version. That means that it is not fixed in cvs!. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Source is available from here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/k3b/k3bmonkeyaudioplugin.tar.bz2 From the k3b website: Monkey's Audio plugin released For all you Monkey's Audio encoders out there... here is the K3b plugin for decoding and encoding. I finished it a long time ago but was unsure about releasing it due to the licensing issues. But the author of the Monkey's Audio SDK did not answer to my mails in several months and on his homepage he states "if you're a freeware author, go nuts". Well, GPLed software is not really freeware but it's free and not commercial so I hope releasing this is ok. :) For now I release the K3b Monkey's Audio plugin as a seperate package for the reasons metioned above. If you are interested make sure you are using at least K3b 0.11 since the plugin API changed and this plugin does not contain a proper configure check. Maybe add this via a USE-Flag?
Yes, please bump to new version since the CD-Text issue is a really bad problem with CD-audio cloning! I got only unusable CD copis for my stereo car with K3b 0.11.6
Created attachment 28240 [details] Monkey's Audio Source Code License Agreement Well, the monkey audio author's voice is a bit contradictory. While he's making the 'go nuts' statement on his website, in his license he demands 'express written permission'. Not very user friendly.

Don't wast time testing this version, because the 0.11.8 is out there. Here are the main changes: K3b now searches for the Debian cdrecord wrapper script and properly selects the cdrecord version to use (cdrecord.mmap or cdrecord.shm) based on the kernel version. This should fix all problems with K3bSetup on Debian. Fixed writing speed parsing with dvd-patched cdrecord versions. Add leading zero to tracknumber meta data field when encoding audio tracks. Fixed data project size calculation if files from different devices have the same inode number. It is now possible to enter hexadecimal values in the boot image load segment fields. Fixed external program encoder plugin (this includes lame and flac encoding). Please provide this in portage, because K3b rules!
0.11.8 is no more :) According to k3b-user-list there's 0.11.9 now: Hi everybody, while running through the forest in Freiburg I thought about one of the fixes in K3b 0.11.8 and realized that it is not a fix at all but even makes things worse! :( That's fixed now. Cheers, Sebastian

FWIW, the k3b-0.11.6 ebuild worked fine for 0.11.9. I don't know anything about this monkey audio and what-not.
Created attachment 28586 [details] k3bmonkeyaudioplugin-0.11.ebuild the tarball has no version number - i chose 0.11, because it uses the k3b 0.11 plugin api
bumped, the monkey plugin is available via a local "monkey" useflag
