I saw a post "I hate portage" in the forums, and saw a guru say that part of the reason why there are problems is that bugs don't get listed in bugzilla. I think a sticky post in the forums, that says: check out bugs.gentoo.org, if you have a bug or suggestion, look for similar bugs, and subscribe, or file a new one. I'm just a bit worried that there might be some low quality bugs.. (doh, maybe even worse than my own!) but a bit of a note should help filter the posts Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.post sticky bugs.gentoo.org note on forums 2. ... 3. profit
I'm reviewing my bugs, and, basically just want a note from the forums page to the bugs.gentoo.org site. I |sticky pointer" is a phpbb term that was... bastardized. I think that this has potential to get real bugs fixed a bit earlier, without a bunch of extra chattering.
I have added a note in the forums guidelines (http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-525.html) about searching also the bugzilla and filing bugs. Not sure there is much more we can do other than having it as text when starting a new thread. But that is affected by language pack hell.
I've added links to the guidelines, FAQ forum, search and bugzilla for when you post a new topic.
