Description Ph. Bobo 2002-07-04 14:18:06 UTC
I tried three time to emerge kde. It always stopped when ebuilding kdelibs. I made
what you suggest : remove -pipe and $myconf...
That doesn't help.

Ebuilding freeze with this message :

How freezing is freezing? The compile can take a long time at this point, if
the cpu usage remains around 100% don't assume it's frozen until you've waited
say 20 or even 30 minutes to give it a chance to move on. I don't know how fast
your hardware is, if you don't mind leave it for even longer, say 40 minutes,
and see if it makes any difference. (Of course if it isn't using the cpu while
thus locked this doesn't apply).
