Please consider making winetricks-??? stable and continuing with stabilisation in a regular manner as versions progress. Reproducible: Always
winetricks is a difficult candidate for stabilization. It's a script for downloading various windows dlls; the urls and file signatures for downloading those dlls change often, and have to be constantly adjusted in upstream subversion. A stable winetricks version thus quickly grows obsolete and useless. This, by the way, is why winetricks upstream does not make versioned releases, but simply tells users to use the latest svn checkout (in Gentoo we approximate that by taking a snapshot of the latest winetricks svn revision whenever a new wine version is released). So we would be forced to file new stabilization requests for winetricks ebuilds every 2-3 weeks, and at any point in time stable users will still be left with a few dlls that they can't download...
I understand the script changes often, but you could then make each version stable after, say, 1 week after its introduction into the tree. And just ignore all stabilisation requests. If that's not a policy you want to follow, I accept the decision and the bug can be closed.
