the login page asks for your username, but only accepts your e-mail address.

heh, the email that got sent to you telling your password said your login was your email address=) Marking this as invalid=)

Nope.
Hate to nitpick, but it does not say that my e-mail address is the same as my login name.
The text of the message says:

Had "E-mail address" been "Username" then it would be consistant with the login page.
