Description Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-01-17 17:36:26 UTC
18 Sep 2011; Zac Medico <zmedico@gentoo.org> udev-171-r2.ebuild,
  udev-9999.ebuild:
Fix for prefix and add ~x86-linux keyword.

this was dropped from latest udev's and...

19:32 <ssuominen> but it is gone now in >= 197-r2
19:32 <ssuominen> and I don't know why
19:32 <ssuominen> do you want me to file bug?
19:32 <zmedico> williamh didn't want to support prefix at the time
19:32 <zmedico> he's said is more open to that since though
19:33 <zmedico> yeah, bug would be fine

please work on restoring the keyword. thank you.

huh, how's this supposed to work?
Comment 2 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-02-02 14:19:10 UTC
perhaps the purpose was to just install the libraries (libudev, libgudev, libsystemd-daemon) from the ebuild on prefix?
can't think of an other reason and i'm fine by whatever resolution this bug gets

Right.

I'd be find with dropping the ~x86-linux keyword from all versions, since I don't have anything in my prefix that uses an of these libraries anymore.
