There are few official patches for NTFS-3G driver, you might want to apply them now because the next release is not ready yet.

Redhat have done that:

I committed sys-fs/ntfs3g-2013.01.13 yesterday that includes those fixes. If you would like it stabilized, please file a stabilization bug.
