The ebuild works but the desklet does not (don't know if it's the ebuilds fault or the desklet's). It cannot connect to the server. Possibly this is because the password does not seem to be really saved. After i put it and check again the configuration there's no password.
The password is not saving due to a bug in gdesklet-core 0.26 i have a 0.26.1 ebuild listed as another bug.. install that and it will save your password (this was a gdesklets bug, check the website for more details on it) http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44960
Thanks - it works now! it's a great desklet - all of them are great. It is really a shame that all this work is not getting into portage. There's some bugs and instabilities, true but everything is masked anyhow... it should be in portage! Also wanted to suggest other nice desklets which i didn't find ebuilds for yet: psi-small-notify, psi-small-diskmount, Volume2 and probably many more :) ENJOY!!!
Rather than adding each individual psi applet, I'll take a group of them, say as a desklet-psiextras. If someone provides a competent, well thought out ebuild to that effect, I'll definitely add it. (Psi desklets are good in general).
The Psi desklets are going to be removed very soon (since they are deprecated) so this won't be added.
