Description Deedra Waters (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-19 16:46:11 UTC
I've been fighting this thing for a couple of days, but I'm not getting anywhere with it, and the errors I get are beyond what I really understand.
I'm attaching the ebuild I started on it, if someone has time and understands enough to get this working then I'd appreciate feedback or something.

 Thanks

app-accessibility/eflite has been added. I haven't been able to test it as I am not at a machine with sound. As such, it is still in package.mask.

deedra, can you please test it out, and if it works, feel free to remove the entry from package.mask.

Additionally (if it works), could you email the patch to the upstream author. It enables support for linking eflite to shared flite libraries.

If not, I'll get to this sometime tomorrow night or Monday morning...

actually... not quite done... the ebuild compiles and installs, but we need to make an init and configuration script as well... but please test it out in the mean time if you can... and if you want to, please add the conf script you use or information for me to build the init script... or even better you could put together the init script yourself ;)
Comment 5 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-21 23:44:13 UTC
ok, I created an init script, default configuration file, and a patch to the source to get a daemon-only mode for the init script to function properly. I submitted both patches upstream, and removed the package from package.mask.
