Description rattus 2004-03-19 09:22:37 UTC
latest version is 2.0 and locations have changed breaking fetch ability.

I am not sure about dependancy issues with wisker and libwisker, but I suppose that it would be desirable to have a working v2.0 of each at least.
Comment 1 rattus 2004-03-19 09:23:58 UTC
error message is as follows, but really it's a custom 404.

>>> emerge (2 of 3) net-libs/libwhisker-1.8 to /
!!! libwhisker-current.tar.gz not found in /usr/portage/distfiles.

!!! net-libs/libwhisker-1.8 has fetch restriction turned on.
!!! This probably means that this ebuild's files must be downloaded
!!! manually. See the comments in the ebuild for more information.

 * Could not find the libwhisker tarball!
 * It could not be fetched normally because http://www.wiretrip.net
 * denies the wget User-Agent header.
 * You can find this library in:
 * http://www.wiretrip.net/libwhisker/libwhisker-current.tar.gz

older v1.x wisker is found here:

I have corrected the libwhisker link that is displayed. 1.x is still required for the app that depends on it. Will upgrade only when there is confirmation that the other apps that depend still function.

and now bumped also. nikto has also been bumped (deps on libwhisker). thanks,

mike

interesting bits o info regarding RFP. I guess I should look into what's going on with 2.0.

sounds like many people are taking their toys and going home. :/

well, i have a md5 corruption which should be fixed:

!!! File is corrupt or incomplete. (Digests do not match)
>>> our recorded digest: d8cb255dee28e3cd120ea2d82a6a3f64
>>>  your file's digest: 6a4ad10e3127e55b7af8f49f8d96ea8e
!!! File does not exist: /var/portage/distfiles//libwhisker-current.tar.gz

dju

File a bug. I can't dup this though - I just wiped my copy of the tarball, downlowded it fresh, and the md5's match (for both 1 and 2). When you file your bug, you might want to give a little more detail, like which version you are attempting to use.
Comment 9 Julien Allanos (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-31 03:07:29 UTC
my fault, i've retried today and the md5 seems ok. sorry for inconvenience.
Comment 10 rattus 2004-03-31 09:04:59 UTC
Michael Cummings:

It did not appear that it was version was required as it was a location change in the ebuild's url.

thanks for all the fish,
