Ding: Dictionary Lookup version 1.7
Usage: /usr/bin/ding [options] [word]
    word        Start seaching this word
   -x   or --selection  Start searching for selected word (X selection)
   -m   or --mini       Start with minimal size (search form only)

   -r   or --remote     Start search in an already running program
   -R   or --remote-new Start search in an already running program
                        or start a new program

           --noconf     Do not save preferences
   -D # or --debug #    Start with debug output, # = number (1..15)

These options may be combined, such as:
   /usr/bin/ding -R -x  Start searching for selected word in an already
        running program or start a new program

Nevermind... seems to work with tk-8.6.0-r1
