After I upgraded to new gtk+-2.4.0 (of course via emerge), Glade does not show buttons placed on a GtkToolbar. When trying to save a .glade file that contains (according to the widget tree view) such buttons, they do not get saved - next time I load the file, they're gone. Creating new buttons does not help, they're invisible either. This does not happen with regular buttons, placed elsewhere. I will attach the .glade file I had problems with (glurp.glade)

When I changed back to gtk+-2.2.4-r1, Glade works as it used to again. I think it's a Glade problem, because the application which uses the .glade file to load its GUI worked normally on gtk+-2.4.0.
Try out the new glade ebuild Bug #45532 -- it requires gtk2.3. The older glade builds won't work properly with >=gtk+-2.3 because of an api change. That ebuild should fix it.
Yes, glade-2.5.0 works for me with gtk+-2.4.0. Thanks a lot. Now to wait for it to make it into official portage tree, so other users can benefit from it too.
I guess this bug can be closed. glade-2.5.0 works for me nicely, going to try 2.6.0 in a minute.
Glade 2.6.0 is working flawlessly here.
As this bug is way out of date now, I'm closing it. Thanks for support!
