Description Rene Androsch 2004-03-18 14:15:38 UTC
I can't do my "emerge -pvuUD world" anymore!

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge sync
2. emerge -pvuUD world
3.

Actual Results:
Calculating world dependencies |
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "x11-misc/xloadimage".

!!! Problem with binary kde-base/kdebindings-3.2.1
!!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem.

!!! Depgraph creation failed.

I forgot my emerge info:

Comment 2 Mamoru KOMACHI (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-19 11:17:23 UTC
xloadimage was moved to media-gfx. would you update your binary
package db by running `fixpackages` ?
Comment 3 Rene Androsch 2004-03-20 08:19:44 UTC
fixpackages didn't complete error free, so I simply deleted everything in /usr/portage/packages and did run fixpackages again.

This should have done it, or?
Comment 4 Mamoru KOMACHI (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-20 09:17:56 UTC
If you don't have 'fixpackages' in FEATURES you have to run itby hand. So, after you deleted /usr/portage/packages, what about emerge -pvuUD world?
Comment 5 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-04-26 19:05:44 UTC
no comment, assuming fixed.
