The bug is caused by a bad ebuild :
Replace Linux-PDF-HOWTOs.tar.bz2 by Linux-PDF-HOWTOs-20040317.tar.bz2 will fix the problem.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge sync (...)
2. emerge -v howto-pdf
3.

Actual Results:  
File not found

Expected Results:  
Installation of the PDF HOWTOs... Is this the police ?

Not necessary...
