Description Mehmet Giritli 2012-12-30 11:31:36 UTC
I just upgraded to gnome 3.6 and I am having problems to unlock my screen. When I try to, I get an gnome 3.4 "old" unlock dialog asking my password. After I enter it, I get to the new, gnome 3.6 style unlock screen and my screen is still locked obviously. I enter my credentials to the new unlock screen and it does not unlock. Nothing happens after this. I can not type into password box anymore but the computer is not frozen. pulling screen etc. works. I restart x to enter my desktop.

Reproducible: Always

That should not happen, old style screensaver is for legacy mode.
Did you just logoff (and made sure no process with your user were left behind) or did you reboot after the upgrade ?
Comment 2 Mehmet Giritli 2013-01-02 18:25:53 UTC
I had a setting running gnome-screensaver at startup. Sorry for the noise.
