Are you running totem from a gnome-shell or something else ?
Comment 3 Alexandre Rostovtsev (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-12-28 22:47:07 UTC
Does this affect any other programs that use GtkApplicationWindow, for example gnome-dictionary-3.6.0 and eog-3.6.2? Or is it specific only to totem?

I have talked with people on #gtk+ channel, and they told me that there is the new gtk menu api, with the idea of splitting the menu in two: one in the actual window like it was before and another one integrated in the gnome panel, like its used to be on mac or what ever. So each gnome app which will use the benefits of this new api, like totem and etc. already did (nautilus probably), will result in in other desktop environments like kde, xfce, gnome2 and many other, once launched from there, this weird menu occupying two menu lines followed by warnings, or oven a crash? if not explicitly fixed.

by the way, the new gnome itself is not effected by this anyhow.
