app-vim/vim-latex-1.8.23.20121116 tries to install
/usr/share/vim/vimfiles/.gitignore
which conflicts with a locally installed package.

I don't think this is a bug in vim-latex, I think this is a bug in the eclass, that it installs .gitignore files. (The locally installed package also uses vim-plugin, with all the defaults, causing to install .gitignore)

Fixed in the vim-plugin eclass.
