There is already an rsync server in Edmonton, AB, Canada. In fact, it is in the same datacenter as rsync4.ca.gentoo.org. I don't see much point in having 2 in the same facility..

Thanks for helping out Gentoo. I have added the IP you specified in the bug to our access database, please start synching to rsync1.us.gentoo.org per our Rsync document at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/rsync.xml. We would like to add you to the gentoo-mirrors Mailing List, as we send our notifications of updates, releases, and changes in policy to the mirrors; what email address would you like added? I will monitor your mirror over the next week and add it int the rotation once everyone looks good. Once again, thanks for the hardware and bandwidth!
