Description Francesco Turco 2012-12-24 21:11:42 UTC
At http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gcc-optimization.xml#doc_chap4 the link to Acovea homepage returns a 404 error. It's not a transient thing. I contacted the author of Acovea, Scott Robert Ladd, and he told me that he took Acovea offline because he cannot maintaint it, at least for the time being. I don't know if it's more appropriate to only remove the broken link or the whole reference to Acovea. I'm not an Acovea user myself, so I don't know if it still works.

The ebuilds for acovea and acovea-gtk have the same 404 problem, but that would be another bug I think.

Reproducible: Always

Thanks! I've updated the document (removed the reference to it altogether). I'll contact patrick (maintainer of the ebuild) that it has been removed.
