In lyx-2.0.5, the document class "letter (KOMA-Script v.2)" is broken. Selecting that document class from the drop-down menu and then attempting to view it in pdflatex (or any other format) or exporting it to the various formats results in a list of latex errors of "undefined reference" to various commands. In version 2.0.4 this results instead in no errors and the file converted and/or displayed. I'll upload an lyx file that works with 2.0.4 and a screenshot of what happens with 2.0.5. aha, so the difference might be texlive 2012 -- 2011 works here.

are you sure, you haven't updated texlive together with lyx? i checked again and the layout responsible for komascript-v2 has last time of change in 2011. i'll ask on dev list.
I'm sure that didn't happen as I first noticed this on a clean install. I updated nothing (I had no texlive packages installed then ran ”emerge lyx”).
