Description Blu3 2004-03-15 11:08:53 UTC
(foreword: i -have- re-installed kdelibs after QT)

checking for KDE... libraries /usr/kde/3.2/lib, headers /usr/kde/3.2/include
checking if UIC has KDE plugins available... no
configure: error: you need to install kdelibs first.

!!! ERROR: kde-base/kdebase-3.2.1 failed.

by the config.log file:

configure:27947: checking if UIC has KDE plugins available
configure:27974: /usr/qt/3/bin/uic -L /usr/kde/3.2/lib/kde3/plugins/designer -no
unload -impl actest.h actest.ui > actest.cpp
Conflict in /usr/kde/3.2/lib/kde3/plugins/designer/kdewidgets.so:
  Plugin uses incompatible Qt library!
  expected build key "i686 Linux g++-3.* full-config", got "i686 Linux g++-3.* f
ull-config no-ipv6".
configure:27977: $? = 0
configure:27991: result: no
configure:27994: error: you need to install kdelibs first.

yes, i don't build ipv6 normally, i'm going to enable ipv6 and re-compile QT/kdelibs, but really...this should never be an error. the build key should handle this.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

I agree, but it was Trolltech who caused the buildkey to change between versions causing the non-source compatibility.
Comment 2 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-04-26 18:02:27 UTC
sorry you had to rebuild, but it's an artifact of that particular Qt version.
