Description Chris Shelton 2012-12-11 16:34:37 UTC
There is a new version of the Tivoli Storage Manager Backup-Archive Client, version 6.4 released on November 16, 2012. Similar to version 6.3, this version also appears to be 64bit only.

Reproducible: Always

Ebuild for 6.4.0.0

Here is an ebuild for the 6.4.0.0 client. It seems that there were few changes since the 6.3 series. The inventory directory /opt/tivoli/tsm/tivinv/ is now gone. The RPM attempts to remove the old one, but as we installed the directory during the install and not after merging, portage should clean this up for us. Works for me.

Thanks for the fast turnaround! I just had time to upgrade my test server to tsm 6.4.0 from 6.3.0.5-r1, and the initial install went just fine.

I did not see anything out of the ordinary during the install. The /opt/tivoli/tsm/tivinv/ directory was removed on my system as a part of the upgrade.
