Description Roland Haeder 2012-12-10 22:53:57 UTC
I use the latest "emerge --sync" (nothing experimental or so) and did this:

# emerge bfgminer

... and I ended up with the named package not being able to build. The package is extracted to /var/tmp/portage/dev-util/intel-ocl-sdk-2.0.31360/. The directory "work/" contains:

work # ls -l
total 28224
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Dec 10 23:41 etc
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 28866964 Mar 21 2012 intel_ocl_sdk_2012_x64.rpm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 23751 Mar 21 2012 license.txt
drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 Dec 10 23:41 usr

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Just use a 32-bit system and try to install one of the bitcoin miners (bfgminer was my choice).
Actual Results:

I don't understand why this got marked as invalid? I still have the same error message when I try to install dev-util/intel-ocl-sdk-2.0.31360.

Here is the relevant line:
[ebuild N *] dev-util/intel-ocl-sdk-2.0.31360 USE="-tools" 0 kB

Here is packages.accept_keywords:
#required by virtual/opencl-0-r2, required by net-misc/bfgminer-2.9.4, required by bfgminer (argument)
=dev-util/intel-ocl-sdk-2.0.31360 **

And package.license:
#required by virtual/opencl-0-r2, required by net-misc/bfgminer-2.9.4, required by bfgminer (argument)
>=dev-util/intel-ocl-sdk-2.0.31360 Intel-SDP

Sorry for marking it UNCONFIRMED again. :)

> I don't understand why this got marked as invalid?
Because that package has -x86 for a reason: it *doesn't* contain 32bit version of libraries. Now please stop spamming this bug.
