a simple rename did the job for me. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
What did you rename? I also liek to use moinmoin 1.2.1. Is it available?
only renamed the ebuild: cd /usr/portage/net-www/moinmoin cp -a moinmoin-1.0.ebuild moinmoin-1.2.1.ebuild ebuild moinmoin-1.2.1.ebuild digest emerge moinmoin (this change will be reverted on the next "emerge sync" -- the copy will be deleted). it would be nice if you could keep this bug up to date with our findings, good luck
Okay - I've done what you did, and copied the existing ebuild. It should be showing up on a local rsync mirror in an hour or so. Can you test it for me, and confirm that it works? I haven't attempted to install and test this for myself ... Stu
looks ok to me, after adjusting moin_config.py the frontpage shows up with all graphics and the sandbox is editable (although I'm not a active moinmoin-user -- just evaluating wikis in general at the moment). I'm not sure what the policy for "webapp-configfiles" is ... 2 points: a) many webapps have a config-files (here: moin_config.py), typically these files are not protected and get overwritten during a backup => how to prevent this? (maybe install config-files with "-${PV}" appended) b) the currently installed default moin_config.py does not find the graphics: we could "sed the config-file" or add a note in pkg_postinst() as the user needs to edit that file anyway. suggestion for note: einfo "Adjust \"${HTTPD_ROOT}/${PN}/moin_config.py\" to fit your needs."
The issues with the config file will be solved when this ebuild is ported over to use the new webapp-config approach. I'll open a new bug to cover that work. Best regards, Stu
