SVK is a distributed version control system created on top of Subversion and written in Perl. Basically the idea is to provide all the advantages of distributed version control while maintaining compatibility with Subversion. It is still version 0.10 but is already a fully featured distributed version control system. For more informatian, the official website is at http://svk.elixus.org/ and there's a nice article on it at: http://www.perl.com/pub/a/2004/03/03/svk.html This ebuild depends on Algorithm-Annotate, Data-Hierarchy, PerlIO-via-dynamic, Regexp-Shellish, SVN-Mirror, SVN-Simple and Text-Diff, found in bugs 44613, 44614, 44615, 44616, 44618, 44620 and 44621 respectively.

Created attachment 27462 [details] New ebuild SVK 0.11 was released 14.3. The reason I'm changing the version now is that it seems like Data::Hierarchy version 0.15 was submitted to Portage and it happens to be so that SVK 0.10 only works with D::H 0.13. SVK-0.11 also requires Pod::Simple, but that's already available in Portage, so that's not a problem.
Perl Team / Pauldv: Any chance of making progress on this? FYI, current version of svk is 0.21. AfC Sydney
Just tested it. Work great. I also made some new ebuilds to test thie ebuild with svk 0.26. Is there any progress on this bug?
I'm quite busy at the comming time (I need to write a Ph.D. thesis), and don't really have time to test this stuff. My perl knowledge is almost zero, so if anyone wants to take it over, go ahead.
Added 0.26 to CVS
