Description Paul Hoepfner-Homme 2004-03-13 13:03:00 UTC
I can't get gaim to stop showing chats and IMs in the same tabbed window. I want my IMs from different buddies to appear in different windows, but when I turn off the corresponding preferences option "Show IMs and chats in tabbed windows", it makes no difference. IMs still appear in the same window with tabs for the different buddies I'm chatting with.

Here is the debug output of gaim when I toggle that preferences option:

prefs: /gaim/gtk/conversations/tabs changed, scheduling save.
prefs: writing prefs out to disk.
prefs: /gaim/gtk/conversations/tabs changed, scheduling save.
prefs: writing prefs out to disk.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Turn *off* the "Show IMs and chats in tabbed windows" option.
2. Get different buddies to send you IMs.

Actual Results:
Each buddy's conversation appears in a different tab of the same window.

Expected Results:
Each buddy's conversation should appear in a different window.

I have gaim-0.75-r10.
