From the guest boot sequence:

Enabled x2apic
Switched APIC routing to physical x2apic.

qemu-1.1.1-r1 has no such issue. Neither does qemu-9999 (it's 1.3 release atm).

This issue is fully resolved in 1.2.2-r2, which is stable.
