Chances are their latest release will not work with current versions of gaim.  There have been mucho changes to the plugin API since 0.71.

Just got confirmation that it definitely does not work.  Plugin devs will need to do some updating.

Mandrake has a patched version that works with 0.75... I was going to check out their SRPM as a start for the ebuild.

My one worry with that is who will suport it if users have problems?  Mandrake? Our sound team?

app-accessibility/festival-gaim has been added. It is in package.mask since I'm not at a machine with sound to test it.  If nobody gets to it before me, I'll test it tonight or tomorrow and remove from package.mask.

I can try and test this some time this week, I have to finish solving a couple of gnome problems though before I can. I probably won't get to it before you, but once my gnome problems are fixed, I can put it to a  real test for you.:)
