Created attachment 330522 [details] mapserver-6.0.1.ebuild Hi Gentoo's community, I would like to modify ebuilds to allow a proper install for the couple Nginx/Mapserver-6.0.1. I check Mapserver documentation and it says it needs memcache module in Nginx. I haven't see any activation of this module in Nginx's ebuild, so i need to modify this ebuild too. In Mapserver's ebuild, i have a question : the ebuild mentions depend.apache.eclass but if i check the ebuild code, it is only needed for the src_configure section to set --with-httpd option to $APACHE2_BIN. Does --with-httpd is strictly needed or it's just optionnal to run Mapserver ? If needed, is /usr/sbin/nginx is the correct path for nginx httpd ? I think i'll put two new USE flags, one for apache2, one for nginx, to permit to those want to have choice, but anyone has any suggestion for good ebuild to this ? My confusion : Mapserver needs mapcache module on Nginx, not memcache. See here documentation for Mapserver on Nginx : http://mapserver.org/trunk/mapcache/install.html#nginx-specific-instructions
