Btw, is this the same version that *bundles* whole python inside? :)

it doesn't bundle whole python, it bundles a specific so lib (python parser) which includes 3-4 patches that he submitted and they were not accepted by upstream http://bugs.python.org/issue10769

The ebuild just added for kdevelop-python 1.4 was based on the ebuilds in the kde overlay.

Would be nice to see this added to portage.
