Description Matt Turner gentoo-dev 2012-11-20 06:30:43 UTC
The RSS links for my blog are:

For gentoo-tagged posts
http://mattst88.com/blog/rss.php?tag=gentoo

For everything
http://mattst88.com/blog/rss.php

The first post I made after becoming a developer was aggregated to Gentoo Universe correctly (it wasn't a gentoo-tagged post) but no posts since have appeared on the Universe/planet, even the gentoo-tagged ones.

My RSS generator is custom, and as a result does annoying things like claim that the pubDate is always midnight. I've wondered whether the problem was related to publishing an article after midnight with a pubDate of midnight (i.e., in the past). No evidence to support this.

I can easily create temporary posts in a staging area if it would be useful for testing.

these are what we still have for you in our planet & universe configs.

i'm at a loss as to why it's not working, unless there really are some feed settings that need to be adjusted on your side. anyone else from planet@ have any ideas?

Just made a new blog post that should appear on Universe. It's correctly appearing on planet.freedesktop.org, but not planet.gentoo.org/universe.

My post from March 19 actually showed up on Gentoo universe. Not sure what I did differently, if anything. I think I may have posted it earlier in the day (4am UTC) on the 19th. Maybe that makes a difference?

Looking at the logs, your blog seems to sync properly with the planet.
Does it still fails to propagate ? If not, we can resolve this bug.

I'll write a new blog post and find out. :)

I made a new post last night.

http://mattst88.com/blog/2015/04/07/Combining_constants_in_i965_fragment_shaders/

It doesn't appear to be picked up by gentoo universe. It was properly picked up by planet.freedesktop.org. This is the same behavior I've seen previously.

Matt, I've been looking into this and I think I have it fixed. Let me know if you post again.
