Description Ted Baker 2002-07-02 12:50:19 UTC
from gnome-utils

I'm running Gnome 1.4 not 2.0 so I'm hoping that this is an oversight rather
than a a change because of the move to 2.0. (I need gtt urgently for billing
purposes.)
Comment 1 Gabriele Giorgetti 2002-07-02 13:14:40 UTC
emerge /usr/portage/gnome-extra/gnome-utils/gnome-utils-1.4.1.2.ebuild

Didn't you emerge it already ?
Comment 2 Ted Baker 2002-07-03 03:35:42 UTC
No I didn't. Many thanks for the heads up.

As I'm new to Gentoo (this is my first install), I have been using the web page
with all the packages listed on it. This just lists "gnome-utils" as version
2.0. I didn't find anything on the web site about gtt, nor about looking in the
portage structure for different Gnome builds.

I do realise that give the state of flux with Gnome at the moment there are
black holes but it might be a good idea for us newbies if there was a page on
the web site pointing us in the right direction for this sort of thing.

Again many thanks.
