Just my opinion, but I think it would be nice if the excellent install handbook for Gentoo had instructions on setting up a software RAID mirrored system. I just basically had to figure it out with trial and error (which most people can do) but maybe it should be documented. I'm offering what I've written up, but I'm not presuming that it's good enough or correct enough to be in any handbook. It might serve as a starting point, however, for improvement. http://www.hacksciences.com/hackblog-archives/000102.html I am not the first person to be puzzled about this...so this is just my polite suggestion for an enhancement of your otherwise totally killer install handbook.

Great, thanks. I've started the tips 'n tricks document for installations and added the Software RAID instructions to it. http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-x86-tipsntricks.xml (well, at least when the webservers sync with the CVS; can take an hour).
