Description Matthias Dahl 2012-11-11 07:10:07 UTC
Currently the vlc ebuild dependends on the postproc use flag of ffmpeg which is a remnant of a very short period of time when libpostproc / libav etc. entered the tree afair but was quickly reverted.

To make a long story short: postproc is enabled by default in ffmpeg and as such, there is no postproc use flag. The dependency should be removed as currently vlc fails to emerge because of unsatisfied dependencies when the ffmpeg use flag is set (which is the default btw).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge vlc (w/ default use flags [+ffmpeg])
2.
3.
Actual Results:
emerge fails due to unsatisfied dependencies (+postproc on ffmpeg)
