The Bug keyword and higher importance are for breaking bugs, extra output does not fall under that category. You don't need to explicitly CC yourself as a reporter, unless you have changed from the default e-mail options. Assigned this bug to the maintainers.
What part of it is unexpected? It's an option in /etc/conf.d/radvd to enable/disable the ipv6 forwarding manipulation.
(In reply to comment #2) > What part of it is unexpected? > > It's an option in /etc/conf.d/radvd to enable/disable the ipv6 forwarding > manipulation. I think these ones: [Nov 10 16:52:41] radvd: IPv6 forwarding setting is: 0, should be 1 [Nov 10 16:52:41] radvd: IPv6 forwarding seems to be disabled, but continuing anyway. Syntax OK
Would you prefer these messages end up in syslog?
Don't want these messages appear anywhere because init script is taking care of enabling ipv6 forwarding
I don't think that this is an issue with our init script, as it doesn't call this out. it's probably built into openrc. Does this still happen (openrc has seen upgrades thoughout the year...)?
fixed, checkconfig was causing it, moved below the enable
