this is with 'dev-libs/libxslt-1.1.27', the same as in bug# 442304

Strange, can't confirm here.

sys-libs/glibc: 2.16.0

Definitely not a stable blocker.

so, I re-emerge 'dev-libs/libxslt-1.1.27',again , and then do 'emerge kde-base/kde-meta-4.9.3' and everything gets installed. Go figure.

That's how its been the past week trying to get 'kde-meta-4.9.2' and then 'kde-meta-4.9.3' installed. Go two steps forward then back up a step, then wash and repeat. Very painful... but at least I know my hardware is solid, been compiling for hours on end, for days and days. ;-))

revdep-rebuild or @preserved-rebuild is the solution

At first, I had problems getting 'revdep-rebuild' to complete, but eventually everything completed.
