Description Christian Burger 2012-11-08 09:29:10 UTC
Since upgrading to version 1.0.25-r1, I get the following error message from applications using ALSA:

error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libasound.so.2: cannot make segment writable for relocation: Permission denied

Downgrading back to 1.0.24.1 resolves the problem.

Reproducible: Always

I was just trying to narrow down the issue a little bit more and gather some information with the help of
http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/hardened/pic-guide.xml
http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/hardened/pic-fix-guide.xml
and reinstalled the package for that again.

All works fine now. I have no idea where the problem stemmed from. Sorry, for wasting your time.
